CuberShop Magnetic Stickerless Speed Cubes, model YJ MGC 5×5 | This recall involves CuberShop's Magnetic Stickerless Speed Cubes, model YJ MGC 5×5. The products are a handheld 5×5 mechanical puzzle cubes that consists of interlocking plastic pieces. The Speed Cubes have six colored sides and the "MGC" logo printed on the center of the cubes. The Speed Cubes come in a box with "MGC" and "5x5" printed on the sides of the box. The product's packaging included spare magnets that were packaged separately in a sealed plastic bag.

Reason

The recalled magnetic cubes violate the mandatory standard for toys because the cubes were packaged with loose high-powered magnets, posing an ingestion hazard to children. When high-powered magnets are swallowed, the ingested magnets can attract each other, or other metal objects and become lodged in the digestive system. This can result in perforations, twisting, and/or blockage of the intestines, blood poisoning and death.
